Hi, I've been painting, here are a few pieces I've recently created for an up coming group exhibition and sale. It's been challenging but also motivating to force myself to bust out new stuff. What if people don't like it? Hey! you know better than that, don't worry what others think, create something that means something to you, and maybe some might feel it too. -Dialog from Christian Robinson's head.

American Solders: Acrylic 8 x 20

It would seem the U.S. Army is becoming more inclusive and more accurately portraying the diverse country it protects. Recently U.S. citizens of the Sikh religion were permitted to serve while still maintaining their articles of faith. DADT is currently still being enforced but according to national polls majorities of American voters think gays and lesbians should be allowed to serve openly in the military and that the "don't ask, don't tell" policy constitutes discrimination.

HOME

Oh, hi again :O) This is a piece I made for an art auction that's goal is to raise money to build homes for children in Ghana. The theme I was encouraged to work in was HOME. I have to admit I spent a lot of time thinking about the meaning of home. I think home is something we carry with us, it isn't any place necessarily. I find home in people and relationships, it's also like a feeling of peace and belonging.

Ok, so I decided to create this scene of me as a child and my grandmother riding a bus. I grew up in Los Angeles where my older brother and I were raised by our Grandmother. Nana ( my grandma ) didn't drive, I remember spending a lot of time on the bus growing up. i don't find comfort in riding a bus, but in this case being with my grandmother who was and has always been there for me. Thank you Nana.

Hello, These are a few pieces I made earlier this year. They were going to be apart of a children's book idea i had. 40% of the way through the book I had a change of heart on how i wanted to illustrate story. I love working in collage, but i'd like to mix things up a bit. Perhaps watercolor or colored pencil will be more suitable.

Dublin

I created this short claymation as an example for workshop.



This is what came out of the workshop. I worked with each kid individually for about 5 min, I asked them to create whatever they wanted to animate, most made dinosaur characters. I had 3 amazing assistance to help me with workshop. Extra special thanks to Eimhin McNamara, who was a huge help with workshops as well as an amazing host/ escort during my time in Dublin.


I was invited to screen my animation Dinosaur Song at The Irish Film Institute. While there i also instructed a few animation workshops with kids. Life is good :O)
