Conquest of Land

Thank you! to those who have purchased art from my shop, and thanks to those who have expressed an interest in getting something. it's because of your support that i can continue to make art that i love and avoid getting a real job : )
Here's a peak at a childrens book I'm in the process of illustrating. I don't want to give to much away, But as you might guess, it involves dinosaurs! This is my first attempt at illustrating something in this diorama style. I was inspired by the work of illustrator Jean Jullien who creates amazing diorama illustrations. Oh yeah! the little guy in the diorama is a Tetrapod, one of the first land walking vertebrates.

Setting Up Shop!

Instead of spending my time searching for my next gig, or wondering how long i can keep up this freelance artist thing.
I've decided to invest in a little business of my own. So here's my product! Simple, little, framed pieces of art. My plan is to find a few stores that i can supply and sale them to. Perhaps even set up a shop of my own in a park on a warm sunny day, and here online : )

Kali

Kali ("the black one") is the Hindu mother goddess. She symbolizes dissolution and destruction. She destroys ignorance, maintains the world order, and blesses and liberates those who strive for the knowledge of God.

"UP" Children's book sample Art

Here are a few illustrations i worked on last summer during my internship with Pixar. One of my assignments was to show the UP filmmakers different ways that i might illustrate a children's book for the film. I was so nervous and out of my mind during these conferences, but i tried my best to keep it together. I was always afraid that i would say something stupid, so i would just sit quietly and smile : ) I have so much respect and admiration for the genius's that created this Beautiful film. Not only are they some of the most talented, hard working, intelligent people on the face of the planet, but many of them are genuinely kind, down to earth, fun people to be around.
