Migrating to TV

I am so excited to announce that Functional Design my 3rd year Cal Arts film could be on TV. The other day i received a Call from
LOGO, an American digital cable television channel owned by MTV. Logo's programming is aimed at the LGBT community, so its a pretty good fit for the content of my animation. I was given an offer to sale the rights of my film to Logo so that they could air it on TV as well as other media outlets. I believe it can be expected to air sometime in August. When i learn more i will post the details.

So you've been up North for um... a good two weeks now. I'm pretty sure by now you must have learned everything that you could possibly learn, so it's time for you to come home ok? I totally miss you!

And I'm excited to hear that your film might be on TV! Maybe this will motivate me to get a TV?

Be careful with that contract! I got the same offer and I am going to turn them down. If they own the right to your film it is "exclusive" right. That means you cannot show it to any other network or film festival. I think that is also restricted from youtube. Read the contract carefully! And, did they tell you that there's an "insurance" fee of 1000+????
